Your ceremony becomes more than just a date and a booking. With a wedding celebrant, it all starts by exploring your requirements, your wishes and having the chance to truly reflect on why you want to get married. I will meet with you, then write a ceremony for you. Personal and tailored to you. It will be beautifully constructed, as traditional or non-traditional as you wish and with added personality. So if you wanted a ceremony that reflected your humour with stories of your crazy adventures together, no problem.
If you are at all daunted by the idea of being part of creating your own ceremony, please don’t be. I can guide you as much or as little as you want, either by providing you with a traditional format for us to work from or by taking your ideas and weaving them into a cohesive ceremony.
It can be a good idea to research, contact or meet a few different celebrants before you make your final choice. We’re used to couples wanting to do this and know that it’s important that you choose to work with someone who ‘feels right’! For me, the most important part of being chosen as the celebrant to lead your ceremony is that we’ll have met and will have had the chance to get to know each other sometime before the wedding – so you know that on the big day itself (when there is the chance of feeling the pressure!) There will be someone you already feel comfortable with, right up there at the front with you.
My fees range for weddings in the northwest typically range from £600-£800, depending on your location. (please note, I’m happy to discuss payment by monthly installments prior to the ceremony if this will mean you are able to manage your budget more easily)
I am also on the directory for the charity gift of a wedding, where professionals from the wedding, medical and charity sectors have come together to create a distinctive non-profit organisation, whose objective is to give people battling a terminal or life-shortening illness a choice.
A naming ceremony is a wonderful way to mark the arrival of your special little one into your lives. Whether it is to celebrate the birth of your child or to mark the inclusion of an adopted child or stepchild, i can help you create a hugely special and fun day for you all.
Naming ceremonies can be for children of all ages – from babies to more grown-up children. It gives you the chance to make any pledges or wishes to your child (or children), involve any godparents or guardians and thank any family or friends for their support.
You may also want to have your religious or spiritual beliefs represented. This type of ceremony means that you have total freedom to do that and as such any readings that you would like can be included.
Naming ceremonies are a great way to show your acceptance and commitment to your child so that they feel officially part of the family. It’s a wonderful opportunity to strengthen the bond you have with them and brings your family and friends together to share with you the start of this new and exciting journey. It gives you the chance to express hopes and wishes for their future whilst acknowledging their freedom to grow. Family and friends can also show their support and make a celebration out of the exciting change in the dynamics of your family unit.
It’s vital for a child to feel loved and wanted, so it will mean you can say encouraging words to them publicly and also to give them the chance to feel important. If they are old enough to speak for themselves (and willing), it also gives them the opportunity to say how they feel. If you choose to have the service filmed for them then it’s a wonderful memory for them to look back on. Family and friends can also join in by offering words of wisdom and you may also like to consider something like planting a tree or a candle lighting ceremony as a reminder of the start of your new lives together.
Your day will have a relaxed feel which is important to make everyone involved feel comfortable, particularly where children are involved! There will be parts to the service that of course has a more serious tone to demonstrate the commitment you are making to your child, but the general tone will be a fun and happy day for all. You will also have a chance for a signing of a certificate, this is not a legal document but is a lovely memento for you to keep. You may include any godparents or guardians in this and it’s also a great opportunity for taking a few photographs.
My fees range for naming ceremonies and blessings in the northwest typically range from £200-£250, depending on your location*. (please note, I’m happy to discuss payment by monthly installments prior to the ceremony if this will mean you are able to manage your budget more easily.
Having personally experienced loss of a loved one in a number of tragic circumstances, i can truly empathise and understand that this is probably one of the worst times in your life. The loss of your loved one can be a very stressful and emotional time.
My role as a funeral celebrant is to turn the sadness and turmoil of losing your loved one into a celebration of their life, through the giving of a civil service that can be tailored to include individual memories, poems and music to reflect on the importance of that person's life.
Young or old, we all deserve a lasting tribute for our final journey. I can make that happen for you, ensuring that their loved ones and friends have a fitting service where they can reflect on the good times and love they shared.
When a loved one dies, i can advise you on a local funeral director who will visit to discuss your individual requirements and arrange a date for the ceremony – alternatively you can choose your funeral director yourself, and you can let them know that you’ve chosen me as your celebrant. As soon as the date has been confirmed, they’ll contact me to make the necessary arrangements.
Once the celebration of life tribute has been drafted, you and your family will have the opportunity to go through the ceremony, ensuring that you’re fully aware of what will be said and the order of the day.
On the day, I will meet you, your family and loves ones at the crematorium or chosen resting place. You'll also receive a commemorative keepsake copy of the service to keep memories close to your heart.
My fees range for funeral services and memorial services in the northwest typically range from £200-£250, depending on your location.
Pets are regarded as family members and it’s normal to grieve for them as such - they accept and love us unconditionally and never pass judgment. We need to let our feelings of grief play out and creating a memorial service or funeral helps us to properly deal with our loss whilst at the same time giving us the opportunity to celebrate their life.
We’ll put together a meaningful tribute and deliver a loving memorial service in your home or chosen location. This will include your pet’s life and can include, prayers, poems, and music.
My fees range for pet funerals and blessings in the northwest typically range from £100 - £150, depending on your location
